Can We Handle Four More Years?

June 6, 2025by PAPR-admin

Every day you hear about a geopolitical bombshell from President Trump: Can We Handle Four More Years?

Can you take four more years of Donald Trump? You might have to.

The media faces a critical question: Will they cover everything Trump says and does for another term? His first few months of his presidency has been a whirlwind from tariffs on allies to wild geopolitical ambitions like annexing Greenland or reshaping Gaza. Markets trembled at his trade threats and diplomats scrambled to decode his unpredictable rhetoric such as his latest call for Russia to re-join the G7 club as he put it.

Recently the Financial Times reported that France’s Emmanuel Macron described Donald Trump’s return as an “electroshock” that should force Europe to secure its own future as well as Ukraine’s one.

Hold onto your hat, we’re back on the same rollercoaster, this time with more dangerous swerves and turns.

Trump dominates the news cycle like no other politician, “flooding the zone” with controversy, executive orders, and off the cuff remarks. Some of his ideas such as solving the Ukraine war in 24 hours clash with reality, but they grab headlines nonetheless. Even his staunchest supporters are often caught off guard by the sheer pace of his suggestions and decisions.

The question is: Should the media give equal weight to all of it? Or should they focus on what truly matters foreign policy shifts, economic changes and constitutional challenges?

One thing is certain when Trump eventually leaves office, Canada will still be independent, the Panama Canal will remain in Panama, and Greenland will still belong to Denmark.

But until then, expect turbulence. Are we ready for it?
