Donald Trump 2.0

January 20, 2025by PAPR-admin

Here comes Trump 2.0 it’s all about the dollar!

It’s calm before the storm.

As the world comes to terms with a new U.S. President and administration, various levels of readjustment are taking place across the globe. Altering the landscape of geopolitics.

World leaders that mocked him now have to work with him.

In the UK, Keir Starmer said he thinks he could strike a trade deal with Donald Trump and avoid punitive tariffs on the UK as he dismissed as “noises off” Elon Musk’s strident criticism of his leadership.

Donald Trump’s second term as president could mark a transformative period for the global economy, solidifying America’s role as the dominant force.

While his first term featured notable accomplishments such as tax reforms, deregulation, and a renegotiation of trade agreements, it was also marred by internal chaos and resistance from key officials, which limited the full scope of his agenda.

Now, Trump appears poised for a more decisive tenure. He has assembled a bold and strategic team with a focus on advancing an ambitious economic agenda.

Policies are likely to emphasise economic nationalism, with continued reshoring of manufacturing, tighter trade policies favouring U.S. interests, and a renewed focus on energy independence.

Globally, this could reshape trade alliances and put pressure on emerging markets to align with U.S. economic priorities.

Domestically, such policies could further stimulate innovation and job creation, though they may also heighten trade tensions and global competition.

If effectively implemented, Trump’s policies could accelerate the U.S.’s economic influence while redefining global power dynamics.

However, their success will depend on how his administration balances bold reforms with the challenges of a volatile global economy and geopolitical rivalries.

Here in Ireland, we say goodbye to the much liked U.S. Ambassador Claire Cronin and await the arrival of Edward Walsh as ambassador to Ireland. Edward is president of the Walsh Company, a construction company based in the state of New Jersey.

“He is also a champion golfer”, said Trump, noting that such a skill would be a great asset for the ambassador to Ireland.

Walsh is a member of the Trump course in Bedminster, New Jersey and is a two times winner of the club championship.

Have a nice day!
